Sacred Threads

Sacred Threads is a nationwide organization whose purpose is to provide venues where Textile artists, mainly quilters, can produce images that display a range of emotions. Each piece is shown with an Artist's Statement that explains the emotion portrayed in the piece. There was to be a venue outside Baltimore, Maryland and I chose to make this piece to show the emotion of calm, quiet reflection. This place actually exists near Roswell, GA and I would cross a small bridge and look over at the stream on my way home from work.
